Second Friday Dinners

One of the wonderful services the running club provides for the Ronald McDonald House of Providence (RMHP) is bringing dinners for families at the RMHP on the second Friday of each month. Club members can sign up to bring anything from main dishes to bread, fruit, or dessert—cooking isn’t required.

Why Contribute?

For those of you who don’t know about the Ronald McDonald House Providence, it provides support for families of hospitalized children. This allows families to spend additional time with a sick child, eases their financial burdens, provides a sense of normalcy, and helps keep families together during times of medical crisis.

We hear over and over again how grateful families are for our Friday dinners, which the RMHP has come to depend on. Meals prepared by Club members are a simple yet hugely helpful way to make life easier for these families.

Signup Is Easy and Flexible

You don’t need to commit for every month; just the ones that work for you. With SignupGenius, you can sign up days, weeks, or months in advance using the easy signup form. You just select a food group that you’d like to bring. We need everything from main dishes to vegetables, bread, fruit, and dessert, so you can contribute even if you don’t cook. After you sign up, you’ll receive a reminder email of the date and the food you selected to bring.

RMHP Running Club volunteers have developed quite a reputation for providing dinners, and we need the help of every club member to keep that going. If you have any questions, contact Marnee Colburn at 757-879-8009.
